Just wondering where could i get Malaysian Base Magazine in English or Malay for photography? :pissed:
Except for Advance Images.. :blink:


How about we make our own Photo magazine? In Bahasa perhaps? Since i can't find any.. :dunno:

recently, i got this photography magazine called 'grain', it's from singapore n cost you RM12, quite nice... it is where i got to know about PM.com

click is OK, not many photos thought and more digital content.

ya, thinking of getting a digital camera, Click is good for overall view (though some sites like dpreview.com is more comprehensive)

Make on line magazine first lah, and then if you can sustain creating the content , then only move to hard copy. Easy only. We create a forum here called PM Magazine, somebody become editor, everybody write articles, reviews, diary of activities, send pictures, etc. then the editor edit and create layout in Acrobat or Pagemaker and repost here in the PM forum as an Acrobat file on the first of every month. Anybody want to vulunteer to be editor?. Philip can volunteer also and take some of the good articles for Advanced Images. Kelvin also can.
Alternatively, Phillip (Editor of Advanced Images) can give 2 or three pages to PM like he's giving to PSPJ. We can then do general write up about PM'ers in Advanced Images.
How about it Phillip ?? Three pages every month for PM in Advanced Images Magazine. I can volunteer to coordinate and be the interim editor until somebody permenant comes along. Maybe Kelvin can become PM writer for Advanced Images PM page..

Wah, big starting capital woh. To lauch the magazine you'll need x amount, plus the first copy probably got no income from ads, cos' most companies want a track record and circulation number, which you have none.

Getting a continuous stream of material monthly is also a challenge and can be costly.

What Yusuf suggested is good. :)

Yep! Ada betul tu, I agree with that. By the way, just came back from Titiwangsa, my leg painful. Walking all over the Pameran for 5 hours. Tak boleh tahan. Im a big man Carrying more than 200 pounds of my body weight.

Back to the Online Mag. So, still to find capital jugak kan? few hundreds to open a webserver account. Maybe we can take few of the photos (with permission of course) in side PhotoMalaysia website to begin with. We can promote Malaysia as well, wahhh!! i can foresee the grand opening of the Web Mag. :D

Yer ler, i've been most of the bookstores in KL. Some said sold out, some said, never heard of that mag before and other said, "sudah pulang" already.

Hafta wait until the next issue.. :(

try MPH and Mynews.com. I have seen Grain at mynews.com at 1Utama yesterday. :)

btw, there are two other local Malaysia magz: ADVANCE IMAGES (ENGLISH) and PHOTO CREATER (CHINESE)

GRAIN can be found at kinokuniya KLCC for sure.....been reading click!,advance images etc for fre there hehehe
