Photo Malaysia Top Model

I was thinking about this.

Can we organise something like reality TV. We can have free model shooting. They can have their own portfolio.

How to do:
Advertised in website, word of mouth, etc
Age 18-25
Minimum height 5-2
Weight max 55kg
Send 2 full photo for evaluation

What we do:
Select 10 to 20 the most suitable
Find out door location or studio

What we gain:
Free models
All pm member can partipate and learn

What the model gain:
Prepare printed portfolio for them
Approach modelling agencies or anything related for job.

Our cost
portfolio printing and studio renting shared by PM member

Just the thought. I might be missing something here and there.

In fact, the session with Ted, Suzums, C-Law, KKog and Morpheuse last weekend were focused more on lighting as well as outdoor composition.. :)

Nudes is nudes, irrespective of one's sexuality or gender. There have been plenty of artistic nudes done and modeling for artistic nudes does not make one straight, gay or bi. We are taking pictures of Evan in the buff. Does this make us raging gays who can't control our homosexual tendencies? We might be, we might not be. Does that matter anyhow? Everything we do is in the great spirit of art, photography and a whole lot of fun. :dunno: Whats the issue? :lol:

Hunks in PM??? Plentiful mate. Only thing is, more male here in PM prefers to be at the back of the lens rather than in-front. :(

I have done quite a few average looking men (photographically-speaking) and they're not hunks or bombshells or model-materials, yet they love the shots coz it's them.. it's who they are... and it's immortalized as art.. nude or not, gay or bi or straight or whatsoever they wanna call themselves. If anyone care to go back to the first post. It is not what I mean.

We organise some sort model selection for girls (at this moment) that interested in modeling. A lot of girls want to have this experience. I remember that's how esttele approached PM. All pm members can take part to shoot.

At the end of the day we can have model shooting experience and the girls can have some sort of portfolio. And maybe the few of the best we can approach modelling agencies or some sort.

This idea came when I saw some outing that have hundreds RM for model.

Just an idea and a lot of details have to be discuss.

Contact PMer Estelle... Ask what she thinks, then open a Get Together thread once u have decided on a date, time, and location. However, she can only make it on weekdays...

Well I heard that there was some competition going one which is roughly doing the same thing as you are saying (Lots of models, many photographers shooting) with a grand prize of RM9000 for the winner. Maybe you want to check it out for yourself and get some idea on how it can be done. Besides, you might be able to win. If I'm not mistaken, its on the 6th of next month. Shall post up more info when I find out alright? Maybe this will help.
