I will not be in town for this :022: but for those of you who might be interested in birding esp in Penang, this is something you don't wanna miss.

It's organised by Wetlands International-Malaysia, an NGO dedicated to the preservation of coastal wetlands & mangroves. Kuala Gula was one of their earlier projects.

No chance of that :010: :010: . I am leaving for Hanoi on the 15th Nov.

Never mind, you guys go and see where this place is and then when I am back end Nov, we can organise our own little migratory waterbird watching outing there.

Don't get too close to those birds, guys. Just a precaution, be aware of the avian flu. In today's London Metro newspaper, there was a mention about several tourists suspected to have contracted the bird flu after they went to a bird park in Thailand.

Good advice Hazeelin. Heard about the parrot at Heathrow as well.

Hehehehe I have ordered my Tamiflu tablets (the only drug effective against H5N1).

MYR14.00 per capsule! Roche is making a killing!

You only take it if you display classical flu symptoms within 48 hours of suspected exposure.

According to a pharmacist I contacted, the Tamiflu dosage is 2 capsules per day for five days if you have the flu. As a precaution, one capsule per day for seven days if you have been in contact with some one infected (or some one nearby is infected). Apparently, there is a shipment due end of the month but there is already a long waiting list and probably not enough to fill all orders.

From CNN, Roche suspends Tamiflu to U.S.(http://www.cnn.com/2005/HEALTH/conditions/10/27/roche.tamiflu.ap/index.html)

Also, dengue outbreak is not over yet so be careful.

Thanks for the info. I might check it up if nothing pop up.

Since you're going to Hanoi, no harm to prepare a bottle.

Seems to be very officious. For me it would be meet up with PM members and go and do our thing. Break for lunch and off again and then meet again for dinner! That's the way to do it. So Chiem, are you going to organise another one? Oh I'll need a couple of teleconverters then. (gives me and excuse mah!) :D

Yeah it does but I think there's no obligation to stick with the program.

We will organise a dedicated PM trip there as soon as my schedule allows for it (after 26th Nov, before 5th Dec).
