There was a thread sometime by KKK asking people to volunteer as reviewers for some photography gear. Quite a bit of members signed up. Unfortunately, until now I havent heard of anything being passed on for reviewing. Correct me if I'm wrong.

But will there ever come a time when some company will approach PM to do a review on one of their products? Is there anything being done by PM to strike up relationships with companies to one day make such hopes a reality?

I got a Imation Disc Stakka for a few weeks, courtesy of Digital Paper Sdn Bhd for a review which i posted up recently. (It has been returned since.)

Bimmer, how did you manage to get the company to send you a unit for reviewing? And did your affiliation with PhotoMalaysia have anything to do with it?

I'd like to know if there are any others who got stuff to review too.

Yes, it was set up by K-cubed.

It's not like manufacturers/shops are banging on our doors begging for us to do reviews of kit, Mike. On occasion we are asked if we would like to do so and the thread you mentioned was so that we would have a reference of willing participants and their locations.

There have been 2 "occasions" thus far.

Actually, I have a Imation 1GB CF with me to test as well...but my firewire reader is not working properly, thus till now still havent done the comparison test.

Will try to wrap it up over the weekend.

So, including that...3 so far :)

no...I got it in MY last time, same from Imation, courtesy of Simon from Digital Paper Sdn Bhd
