Applications are invited from PM members to participate in the 10th edition of the annual Crossing Bridges event.

This year Clubsnap of Singapore will be the hosts. The event will be held in Singapore, from 15-21 September 2013, and the detailed program is reproduced below. Participation fees for full board and lodging, and group internal transport in Singapore is estimated to be not more than S$750 per person for the week-long program
Costs of getting yourself to Singapore and back, will be for your own account.

PhotoMalaysia will be sending a delegation of between 15 to 20 participants. If you wish to be considered for inclusion in the PhotoMalaysia Team, please send an email as soon as possible, to yusufhashim@digitalartist.com.my, with the subject title of Application to Participate in Crossing Bridges 10 Preference will be given to committee members of last year's event in Malaysia, and to early birds and those who pay deposits promptly when asked.

Living with the Sony RX1

My friend gave me a P&S camera when he came back form one of his trips. It’s a Sony DSC-RX1. He had one and wanted me to experience the joy of shooting with it. I didn’t think too much about it, in fact I didn’t open the box till 3 days later and I did because just in case he ask me how was the camera! I shot things around my study and left it at that. In fact my wife was the one that really took it out and shot thinks around the house. Upon processing the images I was quite impressed, the colours are natural and the resolution is great. I was told that it’s full frame (which I didn’t know) so my first thought was how would it compare with a Leica, say an M9.
