I heard there is many problems regarding to the front focus, is it a common focusing for this lens ?

This lens is serving me well even though I've pairing it with the d80.
No more problems, no more f-- messages.
I found out that as long as you don't pick up the camera by the lens (that it loosen from the body), should be okay.

I bought my Tamron from Shashinski and they'll test it out for any front or back focus problems before delivering it to you.

              HTH.

You'll find it in DSLR , the SLR specialist in Subang Parade , the last time I saw they have the 17-50 f2.8 for Nikon , Canon and Sony Alpha Mount.
                    All with Futuromic's Warranty card

My 2 cents.Bokeh is the best through Canon lens
Sharpness, yep, this lens is superb..
I have tested it once with my friend's camera..
The another friend of mine who owns a D200 would actually planning to buy one as he was a person who never trusted third party lens before..

Overall is a good lens but in low light, it will not focus quick enough.
