  • Repair Hi-matic F

Hi, I'm quite a newbie here. Wish to ask help & advice from forum members.

I obtained a "Minolta Hi-matic F" from the evil-bay ("as is" condition & knew that it might be not working). Used 2 nos LR44 to test it but no response.

Opened up the bottom cover and found that the battery negative terminal was corroded and the wire (black colour) was broken. Thinking to strip-off the wire little bit to re-connect to the -ve terminal, but it's too short and looks too fragile (more than 35 years material).

The easier way to re-connect or extend the -ve wire could be done by opening up the camera body but then this looks too complicated as there are too many parts & screws to be dissembled.

Anyone here have the repair/service manual for this camera? Thinking to send it to a repair shop but don't know whether worth to repair it because the camera might have other problems as-well.

Hope someone can give me advice. Thanks
