There isn't a version for the iPad, I don't think...not unless you want to stretch it. Plus, the output image size...

Re: iPad 2 (Photography) app recommendations

I evaluated Snapseed earlier today and it is the first photo app for me to take serious on the iPad. Well, it is no surprise as it is made by Nik, the succes story behind Color Efex, Silver Efex and so many more fantastic plug-ins. These guys know software, and I have been using there plug-ins for awhile now. Snapseed was downloaded for free as it was on offer for a few days and it is a must have!

Brian: any thoughts on Photogene and Photosmith? I'm still looking for an app that can help me managed and edit my photos though I'm not expecting all the features like in Photoshop or Lightroom on a PC/Mac.
                  Cheers, Murali

Photosmith isn't really an editor, but a browser meant to synch with Lightroom. Photogene and Photosmith2 are the best image editors in the App store. Photosmith2 has a better UI, a better variety of export options, the ability to edit large files (not an issue if you have an iPad 2 but needed if you have an iPad 1), and LAYERS! Photogene has batch uploading, resizing, and watermarking (pro version). Both offer all the regular editing tools, filters, ITPC editing, etc.... Right now I tend to use Photoforge2 more often because of the size thing and UI but still use Photogene for batch uploading to FB & Flickr.

Re: iPad 2 (Photography) app recommendations

                        I use a combination of
                        - photogene (basic editing)
                        - sketchbook (additional drawings/layers)
                        - eye-fi (transfer image from camera to iPad)

But snapseed seems really nice, I just found out about this app from this thread.

Snapseed has now tilt+shift added, creating lensbaby like effects.

It also added a few more "standard" editing features, like sharp/unsharp.

If only I could save images at 12MP as I can with Photoforge 2.
