  • Swiss Army Specialty Store

    Hi..
Ok..this is not related to cameras, but rather swiss army items.

I'm looking for a wenger (maker of swiss army items) backpack...
Saw it on amazon.com & a few other websites..but delivery is limitted to within the US.
I've email Wenger, NY, but have not received any reply.

So if anyone knows of any shop in KL that sells wenger business backpacks/ swiss army stuff, please let me know ya..

    Thank Q..

In KL, both Victorinox and Wenger can be found here. For the Victorinox range, you can drop by the KLCC Sony Wings. For Wenger, you can get it at Metrojaya (Mid Valley). Besides, there is another shop at MidValley which sells the uniform also carry range of the swiss knifes. Parkson's sport department also have it. Price wise, considered expensive_lah... How I know ? I'm a collector of those knives. But I didn't buy from the mentioned stores instead I'll buy during the sales time from the distributor - UFL Fitness & Leisure, most items are around 50% discount. If u r from north, check out the Penang area as the distributor for Victorinox is China Emporium, they might have some offer.

Try Bangsar Village, lower basement. There's a shop there selling outdoor stuff but not sure if they have what you want.

Dude, the Swiss army knife, civilian type is pretty useful. It's saved my life numerous times. It did not only open canned food in isolated hiking spots, it also uncorked wine bottles during picnics in the middle of nowhere and popped beer bottle caps in parties...

I find the swiss knife pretty useful especially for picnics, overseas trips and darkroom work. All the my film canisters are opened with the can opener in the swiss knife pack. It is a pity that you can't carry the knife on board the plane now ...

A few years ago i used a Swiss Army Knife to open a bottle of wine and the corkscrew bent! The cork was still stuck inside. I thought the Swiss Army Knife was overhyped and a crappy product. (Yes, its the original with "Victorinox" on the blade). I'm using a Leatherman now.

Btw, Sony Wings KLCC dont have SAK anymore.

The wine bottle should be opened with a telephone book.....a russian professor taught me how to do this...and the cork comes out everytime..

You should take a trip to Singapore. You can get your Swiss Army bags, multitool, Leatherman, Lowepro, Crumpler - all at a way better price and variety than what you can ever get or find here in KL.
