  • High ISO

    Hi,
was wondering why I get very slow shuttle speed on aperture prirority auto mode
Does high ISO will effect the shuttle speed on aperture prirority mode?
    Thanks

    Re: High ISO

It seems that you don't understand basic exposure too much. Use google or get a book - read about aperture, ISO, shutterspeed and how they work together. Explaining things here will only leave you scratching your head.

      Re: High ISO

With high ISO and wider aperture, you should be able to shoot at faster shutter speed. High, wider and faster being relative

Yeah I understand this theory but why it seem like abit slow speed when I shoot in broad day light. Izzit something to do with the lens specs? Sorry for the nooby question.

aperture priority is wonderful .. what aperture did you set for your shots? and higher ISO should give highger shutter speeds... lower iso will give lower shutter speed .. but it all comes back to what aperture you set for your shot

was using f/2.8 and ISO800 and the SS 1/58. Does this speed consider slow?

broad daylight? that's very slow. settings in broad daylight should be F16, SS=ISO.

ss above 1/60 should be ok for hand held.

depending on focal length. if u're shooting at 200mm, 1/60 would barely be fast enough.
