Re: Shoulder Rigs for DSLR Videos

A good shoulder rig is never cheap. If you want to have a good rig, definitely it will burnt your pockets.

i have bought parts from Cinevate, Zacuto, Redrock, Genus. Though their prices is high, i feel the quality is good. So its what you get for what you pay.

Nonetheless, you can consider ordering online from companies that offer cheaper rigs:

        http://jag35.com/new/category/produc...-rig-products/

        http://www.indisystem.com/products

        http://www.thecinecity.com/eshop/home.php?cat=296

        Wondlan DSLR Shoulder Rig (ebay)

Gini Rigs: Magic Spider (someone selling here http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/threa...o-Accessories-
        Magic-Spider-Shoulder-Rig-Magic-Spider)

Other Fixed Type shoulder rigs (cheapest):

        Cowboy Studio Rig (http://www.cowboystudio.com/product/c14/c1411.php)

        Opteka Rig (http://opteka.com/csx1.aspx)

Habbycam shoulder rig support. (Someone selling here http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread...er-Rig-Support)

        bh52 shoulder support (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vuluGDg96Y)

There's no one rig that will fit everyone. You have to analyse each one of them to really know which suits your needs best. Good luck!

For me, after doing some research, the cheapest yet was given a good review are the Jag35 rigs and also the Express35 rigs.. it's one of the cheapest yet well built, going for about RM2.5k for their ShoulderRigs...

PM me if you're interested, I know a shop that brings in video equipment.

there are differences between the cheap and expensive, once you use it, you'll notice the different. The durability, upgrade parts, add on parts. the most you have to consider is the follow focus. I bought mine for rig, counterweight, follow focus and record remote all for almost RM 6k
