What to expect?
PhotoSafari is organizing a Cebu Photosafari cum Photography workshop to one of the loveliest places in Cebu, Malapascua Island’s Exotic Dive Resort. This Resort is owned by one of our PMPE Alumni Member.
This Exotic Dive Resort has much to offer in terms of photography. Two fishing villages and a quaint Malapascua Town flanks it. Crystal clear waters surround the island. The people on this island are friendly and hospitable and some of the residents worked in the resort.

The waters around Malapascua are famous of its Thresher Sharks. This place is reputed to be the only place in the world where one can see thresher sharks on a regular basis.
We will also be photographing the Taboan Fish Market and the Paradise Village on Mactan Island ...

I suddenly have this craving of using square format for street shooting. It is a new set of thinking involved. For a start it is the change in concept of framing the subjects in squares. The composition needs to be adjusted too to suit this format and lastly how do you make the picture interesting. This is my initial humble attempt at such an endeavour.

I was intrigued by the stories of the sulphur miners at Ijen. Many documentaries have been shot about the precarious situation that people went through to mine sulphur at an active volcano vent on the edge of the lake. This active vent is where escaping volcanic gases were channeled through a network of ceramic pipes, resulting in condensation of molten sulphur. We are pleased to announce our PMPE – Pacu Jawi PhotoSafari to Padang, Indonesia. The highlights of this PhotoSafari trip is the adrenaline rush Bull Race or Pacu Jawi as the Indonesians call it.

Pacu Jawi is usually held at the end of the harvesting season. Bull breeders and Buyers come together and trade their bulls.
