Best Pentax K-x deal around

I was thinking if we could all chip in to compare the deals that are currently offered for the Pentax k-x.

For example:
In singapore, SLR Rev is offering it at $945:
- single lens kit
- 8GB SDHC
- 4x eneloops (AA)
- fast charger

It seems like a good deal to me. What about in malaysia, do we have better deals?

RM2388 with 4GB SD, a lousy bag, and a lousy tripod. Singapore is a better deal.

Seems to me we don't have any good deals then. I heard the RM2388 is the Trade-in old camera deal. If no old camera the price is RM2999. Like that it seems shosp aren't really trying to drive the Pentax K-x sales. Maybe because its such a good camera, without any deals also ppl will buy... hmmm..

That maybe the case too I think shasinski has come out with pretty good deal too. Many free gifts

I don't think so. the K-X is not that expensive. RM2388 was quoted to me, without any trading of any other cameras.

I was quited RM2388 from FotoFlash The Gardens. Surprisingly the KLCC branch is cheaper, and I thought it should be the other way round. I remembered buying my AF540 from The Garden branch for about RM200 cheaper than the one from KLCC. I guess many of us had been buying from The Garden branch, therefore raising their prices higher abit. Let's buy from KLCC branch from now on.

I think it comes standard with Kit lens. Body only sales usually only occur for higher end DSLRs where cost is high and quality of lens is of concern. Pentax K-x is an entry level DSLR which means its price is reasonably low, so they usually include it in as a start-up pack for beginnners or new DLSR converts.

Usually, you'd get one set of Energizer Lithiums. Around here, that would cost more than one set of Eneloops. Great batteries to have in an emergency..

really? i got those Energizer Lithiums for less than RM35 for 4 batts. aren't eneloop available locally for more than that?

eneloops are definitely cheap in US. i usually get some when i am there.
