The story begins after I installed install Nikon's View NX..so I thought by uninstalling the software could solved it, but never near to it..I've reinstalled it, but couldn't find any option to activating Camera Raw in Adobe Bridge..

The Camera Raw's process is fine when opening with PS, but still it is annoying to open 2 program for one process..

Already try solution in Adobe forum, but still the prob not leaving..Help plz...anyone??

Do u mean that u can't view ur raw thumbnail in adobe bridge?.

If you are using CS4, then download Adobe Bridge. If you have the CS4 software then it should be bundled with it. Use that to open your RAW files. Dump Nikon View. I never use it.

From Adobe Bridge you can then process in CS4 and save to TIFF or jpeg.

I'm using CS4 (PS, Bridge, Illustrator)..I've been using them normally b4, no prob at all. I can used them normally, I can view thumbnail in Bridge, open Camera Raw (ACR) in both Bridge and PS also.

The thing is I just found out a review (I can't remember where I read it), reducing noise process in Nikon ViewNX is better than in ACR. So I thought of give it a try, that's why I end up installing ViewNX.

But after installing it, I can't open ACR in Bridge like before, the warning pop up, but nothing came out when I open the file using ACR in PS. I can't find any option in ViewNX that can enabled Bridge to process RAW like before. Already try solution in Adobe forum, but nothing solved it.

I don't have a problem doing what you intended.

Bear in mind that Nikon ViewNX can only open Nikon RAW files - the ones with .NEF extension. It is not designed to open other manufacturer's RAW files.

In ViewNX, right-click on the thumbnail of the NEF file you want to open with ACR. There will be 2 "Open with..." options at the top of the drop down: 'Capture NX2' and 'Register'.

Click on 'Register' and select Photoshop CS4 as your preferred application to process RAW files further. Once registered (with ViewNX), the next time you right-click on any NEF file from inside ViewNX, you get to select CS4. Do that, and ACR will open the file for you.

I can open with ACR in Photoshop, but not ACR in Bridge..

Can you open the RAW with ACR in Bridge? How to register that one?

Sorry, I don't use Bridge. Maybe someone else may have the answer.

This problem has perked my interest. So I investigated a bit further, and AFAIK, one cannot open a RAW file with ACR in Bridge because ACR is not an .exe program. It is a plug-in (extension of .8bi) in Photoshop, and therefore will only open via Photoshop. Even copying and pasting of the Camera RAW.8bi plug-in from Photoshop to Bridge will not help.

So are you absolutely certain that previously you managed to open ACR via Bridge, and not ACR via Photoshop? In all my tries, when in Bridge, I click on the RAW file (or right-click, choose "Open"), and Photoshop will open immediately followed by ACR on top of Photoshop.

yes, i'm absolutely certain i managed to open ACR via Bridge..
have u try select photos in Bridge and click Ctrl+R? it'll open ACR in Bridge
