Mate, in fact i am looking for viewcam do you know which nice dslr to purchase? i saw Canon 60d not bad, but i got an curious question,

i heard dslr is better then viewcam... if it is, how do viewcam survive on this matter? do you have ideal on this?

Not sure if my understanding of a 'viewcam' is the same as yours. Sharp used to call their DV videocam a viewcam. Googling seems to bring up mainly surveillance stuff, and though some are now HD resolution, a DSLR would top a viewcam anytime in terms of resolution.

Not familiar with the Canon 60d or any of their DLSRs. I'm on the other camp - started like that with film cameras, had the lenses, so stayed with it. If timelapse is your main objective, then Canon has its options, with a controller to match -

...but the 60d is not mentioned. Perhaps it does not have the necessary controls for a wired remote. Some cameras are like that - with only infra-red remote - therefore limited for timelapse work. Another suitable feature would be mirror-up mode to minimize camera shake during exposure, especially a slow exposure (Be aware some cameras have a 'mirror up' mode for sensor cleaning only - not for exposure).

time lapse is taking many many pics over a period of time and viewing then back quickly.... usually around 24 pictures per second....

actually is using 30frames/s , mean 30 photos in 1 sec,
if u want 1 minute timelapse video, it mean u need (60x30) 1800 photos to create it.
