Seriously considering to get the cheaper brother of Glidecam. However, i couldn't seem to gather enough info on the difference amongst the Flycam 3000/5000/6000 models.
I intend to use it to stabilize my HD DSLR 550D setup (a simple cage, a wide angle tamron 17-50mm lens, a battery grip, external mic, led lights).
Would Flycam 3000 be ideal for my setup weight? Thanks in advance.

Honestly, up till now, i've YET to find a good website with FlyCam details and specs :/
But for the Flycam 3000 Pro.. if i'm not mistaken, it could support up to 6lbs,
Roughly about 2.7kg... So with your set up, i'm guessing you're very close to the boarder line of the maximum load,
I'm guessing the FlyCam 4000 is almsot equiv to the GlideCam 2000...
But yeah, if you're running on a tight budget, I'd guess the FlyCam 3000 should be ok for your set up weight...

flycam nano for small handycam, its same principal, the heavier your camera, the more weight you have to add to balance it, and if the struts is shorter, again your have to add more weight
