aaaah yes, the prawn noodles! its the best in the world! if you guys happen to be there, look up for Mak Jah Mee Udang, besides the prawn mee, try the prawn fried rice (TERBAEK!!!!) ... not to mention the ABC and the cucur udang which is probably the best I've ever tasted that comes together with fried tofu and ground nut gravy!

I came back and forth to this thread, savoring every single pixel of what has been offered by Bro Damak. My conclusion ?

The narrative skills of both worded and pictured, of this photographer has proven that he possess the eyes and mind of an artist. Many had been there, most of the stuffs here had been pictured millions of times, but what was presented here, gave a different perspective and painted the most realistically believable story of Kuala Sepetang.

Kudos and I bow to you in utter respect.

tak pernah tahu pun pasal charcoal factory kuala sepetang ni. baru je siang tadi join rombongan sekolah pegi tengok. balik dari rombongan, bukak photomalaysia, terperasan pulak thread ni. mmg interesting lah cara diorang buat arang kayu secara turun-temurun. owner kilang yang saya lawat kata, dia tak pakai mesin utk buang kulit kayu bakau minyak sebab dia nak bagi peluang pekerjaan utk ramai wanita dekat kawasan kuala sepetang tu.

yg lagi menarik, cara diorang tahu bila nak tukar suhu ketuhar tu atau nak padamkan api ketuhar tu ialah dengan cara menghidu wasap yang keluar dari ketuhar tu... kilang yang saya lawat ada seorang master sifu tukang hidu yang tentukan arang kayu dah siap ke belum dgn cara menghidu... hebat hidung dia.

saya ada ambil gambar, tapi tak sehebat gambar2 hassy kat sini... malu pulak kalau nak share...

I'm fascinated by the introduction poster in the 1st. posting. The weather gods were certainly with you and a lot of shots provide interesting lines created by the logs all over the place. Fine art material, definitely worthwhile publishing. Ever thought of going commercial with work like this?
