Aaaah just finished packing....got to leave for the airport at 6.30am.....hope didn't forget anything. Cant find my long johns. Heard its already -5 in Turfan and the road to Urumqi is snowbound. Been to and driven thru the Old Silk Road nearly a dozen times over the last 12 years. Yet I'm still excited about going again. Really looking forward to the lamb, lamb, lamb.......poor Maxby. Last time he spent nearly an hour and a half looking for a good Han restaurant selling good old fashioned babi........there were none, so he had lamb....again, and....... again.

We have arrived in Chengdu. Just got back from shooting in a couple of tourist spots.
