D700 or D800

heard D800 (tentatively) will be out on March 2011 with 20+megapixels and HD video and ISO performance like D3s. will D700 price drop again?nowadays about 6k. if D800 price around 7.5k, you will get which model?

By taking D7k capabilities into consideration, I believe, it is that good. Thats why D800 will NOT be launch any time soon. Nikon will launch D3s replacement first. D800 probably in 2012... It will be a commercial suicide if they launch D800 this coming March...

I don't think u understand what our fren here meant.

He/She's saying, D300(s) sensor is 4 yr old. So anything newer than that is bound to be better.

It is.. but think about it.. it would be more likely that the D4 will definitely launch before the D800

D700 was announced way earlier than D3s.

And bear in mind, D700 replacement will have more market comparing with D3s replacement !

I'm okay if D800 is out in March....as I am looking forward to get another body for my hobby....

D800 will killed D3s? Nah....people also say the same thing when d700 comeout after D3....but as we all d700 users know that D700 is no where near D3 full capabilities....though it's small but the impact is significant! as if you know what I mean....

so I welcome D800 or D4 anytime soon so that D3s price will drop and I can get one! hahha...
