The lens has a shutter but no mirrors. Not sure about shutter count. Never checked mine.

There's still a shutter and it definitely still has a lifespan

Dont know why, but those colors and 'feel' produced by Fuji (F31fd, S5pro and now X100 and X10) are just very nice. Nikons and Canons also produce good colors but I dont have the same 'feel' when looking at them. Maybe its the Fuji experience in film days.
