Hey guys,
Weather was fine yesterday. It's been sunny and cloudless sky the whole day so I decided to walk alongside Manawatu River at night, having my first time shooting Milky Way.
So, these are the pictures I managed to get :
Stitch from two pictures.
An incomplete star trails. The battery got flat around 15 minutes after the first shot.
For this picture, I put my tripod close to the water while I set my camera on timer before running up to give a pose.
Thanks for visiting.

Yep, this is NZ. I'm studying here. I'm using 24-70mm f/2.8 for all of these shots. For star trails, I shoot at 30sec of exposure for single frame, continuously for (a supposed,) one hour at f/11 which I later merged it using software. And for shooting Milky Way, I used the widest aperture available which is f/2.8 for around 10sec. I shoot in RAW and using Nikon Capture NX2 for post-processing. N for focusing, I used manual focus to infinity. The first shot was actually two pictures that I merged together using Microsoft ICE.
