Took a stroll on Sunday somewhere near where I live to finish my remaining few rolls of Lucky 120 which I must say is utter rubbish but since they've been sitting around, might as well just shoot them. The good ol original Proton Saga. I remember it being my first car back in college. The one with the Magma engine. It served my family for more than 17 years. Solid little car I must say and surprisingly it never broke down or caused much problems (except for the power windows and central locking which I guess Proton hasn't fixed that after more than 20 years). The solution for the power window? Removed it and installed the manual winding ones which then again made it useless after PLUS Tag was introduced, many years before SMART Tag existed. Another thing was that this car was a real tank with a solid metal bumper and not those plastic kinda things you get this days. When I sold it 6 years back, the money from it could not even buy you a cheap laptop!!!! The guy probably made more money selling the car for scraps. Looking at this car brings back old memories. I'll say that this was the greatest car Proton ever sold. I'm wondering just how many of you owned one of this in the past.
