Took a stroll on Sunday somewhere near where I live to finish my remaining few rolls of Lucky 120 which I must say is utter rubbish but since they've been sitting around, might as well just shoot them. The good ol original Proton Saga. I remember it being my first car back in college. The one with the Magma engine. It served my family for more than 17 years. Solid little car I must say and surprisingly it never broke down or caused much problems (except for the power windows and central locking which I guess Proton hasn't fixed that after more than 20 years). The solution for the power window? Removed it and installed the manual winding ones which then again made it useless after PLUS Tag was introduced, many years before SMART Tag existed. Another thing was that this car was a real tank with a solid metal bumper and not those plastic kinda things you get this days. When I sold it 6 years back, the money from it could not even buy you a cheap laptop!!!! The guy probably made more money selling the car for scraps. Looking at this car brings back old memories. I'll say that this was the greatest car Proton ever sold. I'm wondering just how many of you owned one of this in the past.

It's a nice car cause no one would wanna rob you or even steal it for that matter. I've accidentally left it unlocked several times with my smart tag on the dash. No one even stole the smart tag which had like RM300-RM500 worth of credit hahaha.

Here's another classic one which was coincidentally just a few bays away from the Proton Saga. A Mercedes Benz 190.

It's not noise. It's because of film paper back which is not acid free. This is quite common for cheaper 120 format films like Lucky and Shanghai. For 120 format, the negatives are rolled with a layer of paper between the negatives. Sometimes you can even see the number imprinted on the negatives. Try shooting 120 and you will understand what I mean. When it comes to 120 format, Lucky films are rubbish but I have seen some people with negatives which came out ok. I think it depends on batches but either way, I never use Lucky for 120. These were just extras I bought quite awhile back when I was experimenting with processing 120 and also for testing new medium format cameras/lenses. Another reason why it sucks is also because the negatives are thinner so loading it into the film reel can be very very frustrating.
