...This image contains to 2 exposure manually blended, one for FG and one for Sky blended together. It was a good day for shooting under cloudy and sunny day. So I took my time for capturing this subject. Preventing over-expose to both FG and Sky, am using 10 stops ND while for the sky, had to stack another 6 stops ND on 10 stops ND making it 16 stops ND to achieve the result I wanted. Tediuos but worth it and of course, I've got a sunburn!...

Minimal at it's best, but I believe the excution could be lenghty, complex, time consuming and required planning. Definately a "thinking" genre of photography. Nice works.
Thank you CheeFai for your usual support!
Yes, I have to agree with what you had said. It is a tedious process but end of the day, it worth!
Normally, I will only get 3~4 shots on 1 particular outing and usually, 3 out of 4 are keeper.
I moved around the subject and view through the viewfinder to get the best composition so that the image 'speaks' and 'provoke one emotion' by itself to a viewer.
I imagine how does the subject will be when time passes; where the nature takes place shaping it.
I imagine how does the subject like before the camera captures it.
Thus, with this lengthy process, I usually gets sunburned as time I normally shot is in daytime....unless its cloudy and stormy weather....![]()

black and white...
Thanks, Amazing piece. Hope to see it in your solo exhibition with this piece printed with black rectangular solid wood frame.
My gut tell me you should explore film as your medium, go for large, please. If you could detail Adam Ansell's work (I only managed to appreciate his work on a printed book), the latitude of contrast, i mean the dynamic range is just amazing. Imagine the possibility with your execution style, avant-garde is what they call![]()
wonderful shots..love it !
Cheers Chee. Medium?! Thought of that before but still sourcing for the right workhorse..thus, for the meantime, Ill just stick with Digital.
Cant compare to the master-Ansel in term of the dynamic range of the greytones he had achieve...Thank you for your kind words...
Thanks Azri!
