Unable to read 16GB CF card on Windows Vista SP2

Hey there.

Anyone facing this problem when trying to read a 16GB or bigger CF card on Windows Vista SP2 32 bit OS? I'm using an Apacer APAM402B multicard reader and it works fine for 8GB, but when I insert the 16GB, it's not detected.

Tried searching the various forums and there was a comment to load a patch from Microsoft for Vista but it didn't work. I have no problems using this Apacer card reader and SanDisk Extreme 16GB CF card on my MacBook.

I have the same problem with a 32G card.

There may be several reasons for this problem. but in your case it may occurred due to memory limits of Windows releases.
