PM'er Latte
Saw this camera at Amcorp Mall last weekend. Really fascinated with it as it was like holding a piece of history in my hand. The Nikon F was the first professional SLR system ever introduced and it has probably covered most of the historical events like President Kennedy's presidency as well as the Vietnam war. Amazing camera that has probably shape the cameras we use today.

I didn't buy the camera (although it was very tempting!), just played around with it for a bit
The seller was asking RM800 for the body.

That's in excellent condition, judging from the photo. I would bu it at that price.

Already have too many old cameras to distract me. The camera should still be there at the lower ground flea market. Could not test the photomic meter as there were no batteries.
A couple of notable trivia about this camera.
- This is the first camera system which incorporated interchangeable backs, viewfinders, focusing screens, motor-drive
- It introduced the Nikon bayonet "F" mount which is still in use in today's Nikon DSLR's
- A modified version of this camera has been to the moon on the Apollo 15 space program
- In parts of Europe it had to be marketed as "Nikkor F" as the "Nikon" name was too close to "Ikon" from Zeiss
- This camera was adopted by many professionals and photo journalist
- This camera marked the turning point where recognition for professional photographic equipment shifted from Europe (Zeiss, Leica, Rollei, Contax etc) to Japan.
- Production was from 1959 - 1972 and sold over 800,000 bodies.

Many of these old cameras are inherited or found be people in old homes who don't know their value or significance.
