My very 1st attempt at macro

My very 1st attempt at macro. Must say that it was very challenging. Plus I had a withdrawal syndrome (post-macro sickness). Maybe macro is not suitable for me.

Honestly, I dunno whether I should pursue this macro journey. I'm still a bit dizzy and nauseous (almost 12 hrs after). But I guess the blame is entirely mine. Right after having my lunch, I straight away grabbed the camera and start searching for the subjects. Maybe I'll try again next time on empty stomach. Haha. Anyway, thanks Sam!

So that dragonfly is called mayfly. Hehe.... I was lucky perhaps. I found it on an air-cond compressor. At first I thought it was some dirt or something. I managed to get 2 snaps before it flew away. Thanks for checking bro!

LOL. I guess it's a combo of right equipment + technique. Basic rules apply, it's just natural for us photographers to get the focus right and that's the hardest part dealing these tiny lil' creatures. Thank you for checking out!

Thanks! For the shots, I used D7k, Nikon 35-80mm, Kenko extension tube, SB600 and DIY diffuser.

First attempt at macro, doesn't necessarily mean I only snapped twice. Hehe.... For the jumper, I managed to get 2 shots before it ran away. As for the mayfly, that's the only shot and I was lucky to nail it. Thanks anyway!
