Hi, yes this have a minor diffraction cause never used hood ha ha
Also you can find my pics almost pointed to strong sun,
I wanna the fare result, but the nano coating had really help my photos to taken clear & nice sky outputs.
So my stronger recommended this lens.

Never used 35mm f/2 before. Cannot comment much on it. I think this is a value-buy alternative of 24 1.4g since their performances are quite similar. In f/4 - f/5.6, the performance of this lens is very shape for landscape. Performance in f/1.8 is reasonable and bokehness is quite milky. A good buy ^^

That 35mm f2D, I had used before I found that is more suitable on close up,
But in landscape shots just so so only and getting slightly vignetting also.
That 24mm G, I have no comments that one is made for rich person only.
