I am looking for a slider to use for photography. If I understand correctly the slider can be set-up on tripod or is it using the 2 light stand you mention here? What is the maximum load it can handle?

Yup it can be setup on the tripod (via standard mount) or using the 2 light stand on the 2 holder included.
Its quite solid and can handle standard setup like a 5Dm2 with a standard zoom lens etc.
If you wan a more professional sliding, you can go for our another model

This is RM900. (without tripod plate)
Is the rm900 one use ball bearing type sliding mechanism?the smoothness can be compared as using konova? what is the length?
Thanks for the explanation, it is for photography indeed as I am looking for a solution to 'rail' my SWC with Phase Back. Reason is, I don't need a panoramic tripod head and vertically mount my set-up since the back can be mounted both horizontal and vertical.
Do you have motorized unit for slider?
