Shoot an email to Nikon and you'll receive an accurate and up-to-date quotation.

Just to add, since you are sending it in for service, it maybe a good idea to ask them to re-map the pixels, incase you have some hot pixels on your sensor.

do update us here on the price/cost here if you do get a quote from NSC

better send to PJ direct if you need to collect ASAP. Pros: any problems or questions you can ask the technician who service ur camera directly, Cons: PJ only open Mon~Fri 9am~5.00pm. Times Square open daily, but no technician to answer your problems / questions.

Yeah, me too, until i looked at a blacked-out pictures of one my frames, somehow a red pixel caught my eye. Indeed it was a hot pixel and happens to the D700, not sure about other models. There is a method to 're-map' the sensor by yourself, I have to lookup where I read it the last time.
IIRC not all pixels can be mapped out fully unless you have an AC adapter plug into the camera. another way is to have a fully charged up EN-EL4a in the MBD10 and 'clean the sensor'

Seems like hot pixels is common issue. Hmmm.

btw, Nikon just replied my email. Around RM400 for sensor cleaning, viewfinder cleaning and rubber grip change.

Yet to know the price for pixel mapping.

NSC don't give you quotation without sending in your equipment for diagnostic

For D700 repair cost, the minimum charges will be RM300++ if need to remove the rubber as NSC will not re-use the old rubber. Most of the time, the rubber need to be removed to change the internal parts. If I am not wrong, the shutter unit should cost around RM500. So don't change the rubber unless it is necessary.

true, the rubber grips are one time use only, although you could re-use the rubber grips by using 'special' adhesive, chances are it will peel off after a certain time, btw the rubber grips for the pro-bodies are of different composition from the consumer ones
