Here's my first Raptor shots... Still suck at manual-focusing and am learning the tricks in the trade for bird photography...

Sam, good try at the f***ing shots .

Why did you use manual focusing?
Its bright enough for the AF to work, unless you are using a Manual lens.

The focusing screen of the dSLR are not really made for manual focusing.
If you have to manual focus, I think there are aftermarkets screens that will assist with manual focusing.

Ah, this set, I used my EF400mm F5.6L with a 1.4x II teleconverter.. The AF wouldn't work on an EOS7D, so, back to basis la.. Manual focus..
I guess that if I can score some decent bug shots, birds would be a good challenge.. hahah!
