RULE NUMBER 1 : You're NOT to be the centre of attention, henceforth
a) no flash photography
b) use longer lens 70-200
c) use 70-300 if possible to get a tighter portraits of the speakers
d) wear dark clothing
e) to look a wee bit "more professional", wear jacket if a suit is out of the question
f) I will shoot RAW and correct the WB later in post (Lightroom™ for batch processing is a God send yo!), feel free to get the correct WB and shoots in jpeg, your choice really
g) If need to get close, do so in the first 5 ~ 10 minutes of the talk, then get the heck out of the way superqwik (read Rule Number 1)
RULE NUMBER 2 : unsharp photos are as good as a chocolate teapot, therefore...
h) practice your low light slow speed handholding technique
i) use as high ISO setting as possible without the file starts to "break up" (very the important during post work yo!)
j) use lens with a big aperture ie: f2.8 and above
k) use monopod if possible, leave your tripod behind
and last but not least, just relax, if you fail in this assignment chalk it up as a learning experience, so dontch la put undue pressure to yourself
