Did anybody heard about discounts in Malaysia so far?

But expect something new from Leica soon.

The 'rebates' appear to be in the form of 'gift cards' which you may redeem on your purchase of some other add-on products. Not so much a 'cash discount'.
I've not heard this is available locally. But it surely means one indication - that the M10 is likely to be launched soon.

The M9 M starts shipping right now in Europe. It's pretty obvious that the announcement for the M10 will be done during Photokina next months.

I guess it also depends on the current stock where they will provide the discount...

Is the usd1000 discount from Leica or from that particular store trying to clear stock?

m8 to m9, price increase by double from rm9k to rm20k. Expect rm30k for the m10?

Are you serious? The M8 cost 9k RM here? Wow, that's super cheap in comparison to EU or USA. Here in the forum the used have a price around 6-7k RM. Loosing 20% up to 30% it's more than reasonable for using it in average 5 years.

My understanding is that it's just from this shop. But I'm pretty sure they have to get this discount approved by Leica.

It's interesting to see on which level the used prices for the M8 and M9 will be after the announcement on the M10...
