    Hi all,

I see this bird every now and then out in the back of the house.

It's raining this morning, and it probably didn't feel like flying around, so I took a quick shot of it:

    Shot details:
    Nikon D300
    ISO 1600, RAW
    Nikkor 70-300mm VR @ 1/500s f/6.3, 300.0mm
Postprocessed in Nikon Capture NX to taste, cropped, resized

    Thanks in advance!

Careful when shots in the rain....mush keep you lens in good condition....

70-300mm is a good start for bird too....if 400mm start will be better...

Hey Nelson - I was shooting from a room in my house, but will definitely remember your advice.

For birds, I've decided to stay out of this game for now, else I might find myself robbing banks to buy 500mm+ lenses

P.S. Your PBase gallery has to be one of the best bird galleries out there! I'll visit often for inspiration.
