Some photos from Amsterdam.
Trying to figure out what something means is fun here. For instance:
OK, I've figured out "knippen" = haircut, "wassen" = wash (same as at the building's laundromat), but what the HECK is a "blockhead"????
From a distance, this looked like "LARD CENTER".
I wonder what they shoot here. Maybe I'd rather not know.
OK, I get the tobacco part.
Pink Elephant cigarettes, anyone?
Are those nunchaku??
The PAIN OF THE BASTILLE!!!! OWWWWWW....
I've figured out what THIS means...
But I still haven't figured out these yet:

So what's the equivalent of "Engrish" for BM? Bahasa Maraysia?
Iskandar
Just around the corner is "Cafe Tiada".
No, the kids don't go "BOOM". (Boom = baum (ger.) = tree = pokok)
But kids do doo doo.

OK Class, repeat after me:
"Why you so kiasu one ah...."

Inspiring buddy! Absolutely inspiring. And witty too!
REALLY???? Probably no more sweat then, either.. but how do you "detox" in that case??
And what with all the excitement in Gebeng, rare earths would be the last gimmick you'd expect them to use.

lol...thanks for sharing
Hmmmm... Doesn't "GWM" mean something? Especially in the personals? If you were one, would you advertise it to the world on the back of your truck?? And what's a "Wingles"?
http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/GWM
Who comes up with these silly names, anyway?
Apparently ONE scam isn't enough....
Would YOU wear Goon Brand diapers? (Or would you, if you were a baby? I suppose babies don't get to choose..)
Confederate blackcurrant juice.
Hmmm.. Learn something every day. Apparently hamburgers are named after the German word for "bridge".

If you got some time to spare I will brush up your Dutch. Unfortunately nothing too special about the images you uploaded, we tend to use a lot of expression language. Weg = pech! Gone = your bad luck. 1 Euro per meter, no half meters. Klapper van de week. This weeks' special offer. Heb je genoten van de kip Kerrie?![]()

Before I went to Holland, I was under the impression that I'd recognize at least SOME Dutch, since I studied a little bit of German in college. No such luck - German and Dutch have as much in common as German and English. Even the orthography is very different - it took me a while to figure out the "ij" thing, for instance. And I was very surprised to find out that "W" is the same as "W" in English, not "W" in German.
I still haven't figured out what "OP=OP" means. Consulting a dictionary is no help, since Op=Up..
Markets, I found, were GREAT for funny photos. My favorite funny sign is this, which I took on the way home from the biggest market of them all, at Beverwijk. I was surprised to find that a huge part of it (the Oostersemarkt) was devoted to halal food.
No, I never did try the kip kerrie - come to think of it I don't think I've ever had kip kerrie with pineapple and apple in it so far.. The reason I took the photo was that there was a friend of mine here by the name of Kerry, I thought he'd find it amusing.

So how much do fresh water smiles cost?
So WHAT are you supposed to do with your parking ticket?
So I see you really are smoking Red Bull...
Don't people usually take their clothes off before getting in the bath??
Hmmmmmmm... there's something lost in translation here. Then again, "Tubuh Suam" doesn't have the same sort of ring to it, either...
