My 1st macro exprience with nikkor 105VR

Hi,

This is my 1st attempt to take macro picture using nikkor 105vr. I believe 105vr is a very good lens but the result that i produced is just so so.

All photos taken using nikon40x, 105vr, tripod, pop up flash & 100% cropped using PS and export to GIF file.

nothing go wrong.. just that got dust on your sensor. You need to get a blower to clean it

not able to view ur Exif

1. try use MF
- as ur pictures seem OOF
- after fix ur magnification e.g. 1:1, move forward or backward to the object
2. lighting , you make need to do diffuser (styrofoam plate....) or like mine
flickr set
3. try 1.3 or 1.2 :1 dun go to 1:1 straight
4. try ur best to have SS 1/125, Aperture 8
5. practice more, start with static object

hope this help ..... and enjoy .. MACRO is not simple

My main problem is i'm using a tripod and cannot easily move the camero body forward & backward.

The ligting can be improve and most probably will get the SB600 an try to do some DIY work

Do u mean i need to manually set the SS & Aperture to take macro photo? Usually i only set the aparture to get enough DOF.

My another question is should we set the file format to RAW file when take macro photo? Can more detail by doing this?

yes, try to use manual or u can use Aperture mode too if that's is he case then try to make it F8 minimum as start

shoot in RAW, so u can adjust saturation, exp (this is normally what I did) ....
