cant afford but I have the chance to try out D2X and D2hs last Sat
Press the shutter at continous high speed mode...amazing fast! Shutter sound is pretty loud too! (I think that attracts the saleman to approach me later)
All the wordings and buttons are bigger than my D70...the camera is heavy...very heavy...
Do I want one? Yes...but I will not buy one

I think there are quite a few owners of the D2X in M'sia.
The owner of one of Kuching's oldest and most famous photo studios told me that he'd ordered quite a few units in for Kuching clients alone.....factor the size of Kuching and the rest of M'sia....

the D2X isn't as expensive as you mentioned. expect some price reductions too since the D200 is out.
