The LX3 had been tempting, but I am always worried about buying something that is one year old. This new camera pretty much just proved me right.

Well it is rumoured that the new replacement to the LX3 will be launched by the end of this year. But I am not sure how it will fair up to an already good camera in the LX3. I have no regrets in getting mine. I am enjoying it thus far. And I believe it is very much a keeper, just like my Sony F-828. Still enjoying that since it was bought 5years ago.

Looks like Ricoh is a strong contender in the PNS industry. Frankly speaking, I doesn't realise Ricoh is so good until lately. A friend of mine just bought a new Ricoh GX200 after her Canon EOS 450D got stoled. When she first told me about this camera, I have plenty of doubts in my mind. After seeing the pictures taken by her GX200, finally I understand why Ricoh is one of the sought after cameras.

Then I bought my gf a Caplio R7. And for PNS standard, I can say that Caplio R7 can really take good shots, particular macro shot. Generally she's quite happy with Caplio R7.

With the new GR III, it's definitely going to strengthen them in the market

I doubt you will get to test it at KLPF. It always takes awhile before it reaches malaysia. Unless the Ricoh guys can confirm it's presence at the KLPF 09.

I do not know how much this rumour can be trusted until I try it out for myself. Apparently one of my friends told me the photo quality is able to match that taken with the D300.
