Went to Wat Rajaphohong Buddhist Temple in Ara Kuda, Bukit Mertajam yesterday for state-level Songkran Festival. Also known as the Water Festival, Songkran is the traditional Thai New Year which starts on April 13 annually.

Some shots:

2.A bunch of kids topping up their 'ammunition'

3.Water war or powder war?

4.One of the 'casualties'

5.Fire engine to the rescue

6.Rambo's son?

7.If thirsty can drink too!

8.Soak..

Re: Songkran Festival '08

Thanks for the comments. Most of the time I use 100mm f2.8 and 17-55 f2.8 fitted on 400D.

Steven, I am the one with black shirt with a bagpack. I only recognise myBest there. Ya, let's join again for Songkran 2009.

BTW....myBest..like your pic# 16! I went home around 3pm, must have missed some of the fun.

Re: Songkran Festival '08

Steven,
Knowledge is for sharing and I think we can all learn from each other. Hope to meet you again soon.

Teonghe,
#16 was captured at 3:43pm just before I left for home. It was a chanced shot as I was ready to pack and leave. If you notice, it's the only cropped shot (examine the aspect) amongst my posted images.

Good shots, vibrant colours. I would've guessed that your were using f2.8 lens. It's amazing how it pops out. I have the same issue as Steven on the 18-200vr as it won't get the sharpness & contrast.
