ok, on thursday , i saw the following ad in FTZ "Canon 580EX 2 asking for rm1100.complete box with warranty.Pls call or email 0135686869 or 013-5686869 - Raymond <fortuneworks@hotmail.com>"

so i emailed this guy called Raymond aka fortuneworks@hotmail.com, and he responded with me the price is rm 1050, and COD in penang, but since i'm in KL , i ask him for price to courier.

he responded saying add another rm 15 for postlaju and also send me some picture of the speedlite. He also ask me again the next day to bank in to his Maybank account which is registered to TS Pronton Enterprise, with account no. : 5520-6803-1857

after i bank in the money to the 552068031857 account, there's no more respond from him, damn. i thought if bank in to company account should be more trustworthy, but who know's i got scammed.

this is my police report, hope noone falls for this guy trick again. I know i should have only trade by COD but the deals seems quite good and i don't want to miss it. guess, greeds blind me this time.

one of the reasons ebay can not work in Msia, or just any online/catalogue shopping. Just too many are dishonest. In country like UK, once an item is bought, you hav 28 days cooling period. If u r not satisfied..bring it back (in reasonable unused condition) and get full refund. They call this consumer rights and is fully legislated. Imagine if one applies this in malaysia, all shops will tutup pintu!

If I were you, before bank in to him, I will check his company ROB/ ROC 1st see if this company is still active and the company's background- eg the owner/s, name/s, address/es.

Searched in SSM.com.my, it's registration number is 001786338-K, located in Jitra, Kedah.

other than some trusted regulars in a few forums which i frequented, i strictly do COD transaction. sorry for you. but thanks for sharing your mistake. that's a brave thing to do, i must respect that. lesson learnt everyone. do COD only.

I thought if he has company account.. the company must have been registered, bank policy. If police want to do something.. you'll almost certainly will be throwing some difficulties to the guy. Got addresses from IC Number, Bank, KWSP, Tax.. even IP, Handphone location (if they want to take the trouble).

feel sorry for u bro. but there are honest PM users here that are trustworthy to do poslaju. this kind of case makes it very hard for us real honest ppl to sell stuff through poslaju. no wonder it is so hard for me to sell my kitlens cos I am in kuching......

sorry for your lost , always be vary of non-COD transactions. the easiest way to check is to verify the seller's reputation.

1. a google shows there are no trace of this company at all. i usually will buy from a reputable seller with a lot of good transactions. i will always show my successfully closed transactions for my non-cod buyer to give confidence.
2. usually "too good too be true" price always smells like ****.
3. avoid seller who has very bad response. unwilling to give more information. ,etc
4. avoid non-cod transaction for anything above 1k. prevention is better than cure

One of my friend when studing in UK do this before,he bought a pants for a wedding dinner,return it the next day.

He also bought a inssurance for his handphone,after a year,all his family member(total 4 member) have the same handphone free.
