This new K20D and GX-20 will have live view and can preview picture on their viewfinder.The live view is also available on 3 inch LCD. There are two type of AF mode and they said that they have improve their AF performance..The AF uses a new Contrast Method and will not use their exist AF method(by Distance Measuring Mode)
In continuous drive mode, this new model can shot 1080p full HD size up to 14-16 shot..while Nikon's D3 can only shot 510p up to 11 shot and unknown p(maybe 200p more than K20D) up to 10 shot on Canon's 1D MarkIII. It also can shot 3fps 12bit/14bit RAW file while Nikon's D300 only can shot 2.5fps 14bit RAW file.Samsung's man said that GX-20 can record 720p video and maybe K20D also has that feature..

Someone asked that K20D will use 12MP sensor from sony as same as A700 and D300 used, they answered "NO" because they will use new 14MP sensor develop by samsung.
Now this K20D can be compare to D300, D3 and 1D MarkIII. And they said that the price would be 1/3 of D3 price but they didn't announce when it will be launch and available in the market..maybe it was in the middle of January 2008

will wait and see until it launch

wow, 1/3 of D3's price is still too high for me to upgrade oh well, hopefully the K200D has improved AF too.

if the k20d is indeed similar to d3, it would be very very difficult to justify not to upgrade when its only 1/3 of the price!

the sensor will be 14MP CMOS APS-H sensor (approx 30mm X 16mm) will be a lil bit widescreen

Better SR than K10D

And AF is available in Live View which is better than 40D(can't use AF in Live View)
Hope the LCD pixel will be more than 230000pixels since 3 inch LCD use..if 230000pixels use,the quality pic on the LCD will decrease like 40D

someone from south korea said pentax is now already started build their new 1 digit model K1D..the features will be

1:1 full frame 15MP CMOS (APS-H) sensor
22bit A/D converter
16bit RAW/TIFF format
8fps

that you should thinking b4 go for it..
but pentax already build up a full frame lens..
maybe some lens will not work with K20D too because of their new sensor size

the rumor about K1D is also flash on Canon forum..its time to poison Canon users

I remember like Nikon, the full frame dslr is backward compatible to APS-C lenses. It has a sensor to detect or a switch to switch/ crop btw full frame or APS-C lenses so that vignetting will not occur,

It was based on the MZ-s film body design, MZ-D was the first full frame dslr shocked the world 7 years back, unfortunately too expensive for mass production.

The other thing puzzle me is the film ISO feature...
- Manual Film ISO Speed 6 ~ 6400 ASA
- DX Film ISO Speed 25 ~ 5000 ASA
Maybe it can do both digital & film?

i think that one is not for produce but to show their technology to the world and combine all technology they have into one slr camera..that why it called prototype model..after this model they started to build the *ist series, their first digital slr on 2003

K10D AF just a bit faster, but not real superb. I guess K20D around 1200usd...
