Christmas Greetings from Hooded Pitta

There was a sudden burst of late afternoon sun rays that help to create the much needed lighting under the dark forest canopies. And then the Hooded Pitta popped onto this much anticipated perch as part of its feeding routine which I have hoped for the usual smooth green background for a Pitta shot of the year !

This was taken without any hide. Very friendly bird and he can popped right up in front of you (within 6m) to say Hi !
