Checked out Batu Caves today. Stalls are being set up. Traffic is light and more tourist than devotees, for now. C & C welcomed

Not on a major scale, but devotees can fulfill their vows early. Small items were carried like milk pots and portraits of some gods as in #3.

12. Don't miss this place when you guys are there cos kavadi piercing,hair cuts and rituals are done here before they proceed to the cave proper. If you are facing the main entrance of batu caves, this river will be on your left side and it takes a good 5 minutes walk to reach.

#7 can also be 2 nice pictures comprising of the top 1/3 and the bottom 2/3.

Yes, you are "spot on" on 7. My goal was to combine it to depict 2 types of statue, one movable(bottom) and one not(top).

Am afraid you are right. I remember when I climb Mt Kinabalu, there are porters seen to carry cooking gas cylinder and refridgerator up to Laban Rata (3,272m above sea level). There are no other mode of transportation except human power.
