Dtbh's 5D/4N Bali photo-safari and post-processing workshop, July 19th-23rd

*This will be a hands-on structured photography program with specially selected models for different locations (kids, farmer, senior Balinese citizens, dancers).

*Eat-sleep-drink photography from dawn to dusk daily followed by photo critique/post-processing sessions in the evenings.

*Preparation and tips wherever practical before the start of the day with ample practical opportunities.

*You will learn how to see the light, and how to do available light photography especially portraiture with the occasional Fill Flash technique.

*If you like my style of travel photography and like to learn my style of post-processing this will be a very good opportunity as I will be demonstrating how I normally do it during the evening sessions.

Fees: RM1850/pax

The fees includes transfers to and fro airport, luxurious hotel (to rest our weary bones after a whole day of shooting, including breakfast) in Ubud specially selected for its location near Ubud market (where we will be shooting), all entrance fees to the various shows/tourist attractions, all models, professional photography guide, driver, all transport while in Bali (18 hrs of usage at our disposal), light refreshments and my fees.

Please note that it excludes airfare, meals other than breakfast and tips to the guide.

Once I have the minimum number of participants I will call for full payment. If I do not receive the payment after a given time frame from those who have made a booking the slot will be given to those next on the list. Once payment has been received you will get the detailed itinerary. I reserve the right to change the itinerary if I feel it is a better option.

I will cap the number to 7 photographers to ensure close personal attention.

I reserve the right to call this off if I do not have the minimum number of fully paid 6 participants after which all those who paid will be given a full refund.

After payment has been made no withdrawals and/or refund will be entertained since everything would have been booked. I will try to get the person next on the list to take over failing which you will have to find your own replacement.

Please note that July is within the peak season for Bali hence it is advisable to book everything early especially the air tickets. I would suggest the group to go together. The best flight times and cheapest (around RM600+ return the last I checked) is still Air Asia.

Just in case I do not get the minimum number of participants when I call for full payment, please do not book the flight until you get the green light from me.

Confirmed List
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.

Waiting List - just in case of non-payment
1.
2.
3.

Anyone who is keen can PM me here and I'll put your name on the list. It will be a first-come-first-served basis. Please do not add your name on the list on your own. It won't be official.

Bali needs no introduction with its wonderful landscapes and the friendly people who, with the right approach, are more than willing to pose for photographers. The following will give you an idea what we will be expecting to shoot during the safari.

Kecak dance at sunset. We will also go behind the stage to shoot the dancers doing their preparation.

Sunset portraiture

Dancers

Farmer in his environment

More portraits

Temple festival

Temple parade

Cock-fighting

Some landscapes

I think we are going to have loads of fun.

I don't know what to call it. I suppose I can call it my style of post-processing.

Sure but I don't know if I'll organise another one again. I am doing this one now because I promised someone that I'll do it... and my love for Bali of course!

It will be shooting, shooting, and shooting whole day long. Even the guide won't be spared. Introducing my photography guide Ngurah Rai.

Re: Dtbh's 5D/4N Bali photo-safari and post-processing workshop, July 19th-23rd

A female participant just signed up and as such I am now looking for a female participant for twin-sharing of the room. Any potential takers? Thanks!

I am now very near the minimum number of paid participants to confirm this workshop. I have a feeling this trip will be confirmed very soon.

So sorry for the late reply... I am still on my Hanoi-Sapa-Halong Bay trip with no internet access till now, and will be back only tomorrow.

Yes, I have 2 places left with a few waiting to pay up. As mentioned... first-pay-first serve.

Thanks!
