Greetings hana_azmi
The meeting of a setting sun with amorphous clouds in this capture has produced some spectacular scene……. I like the way you have taken the opportunity to capture the sun rays that have tinges the clouds edges with orange light.
I find the glorious effect can be further elevated if you have chosen to crop your image for emphasis. By cropping for emphasis you would have enlarged your subject matter and the tighter crop will removes distracting elements such as the uninteresting silhouette building roof top and IMO would produce a much stronger picture composition.
The composition would benefit further of course if only at your chosen viewpoint you are able to include a vertical element (eg a tall building or a spire tower) to add an extra touch of drama to it. Yes…..unfortunately there are none nearby….. hahahaa….. next time I am sure you will drive quickly to a higher location where you will be able to include that in your composition.
A very good attempt by you. BTW you carry your camera everywhere you go ar?
Cheers

Hi Artline,
Thank you for your comment. It is very interesting to learnt some photography aspects from an expert. However, for you knowledge, I did not know how to edit a photo. So, I just capture the scene without any attemt to crop or to edit the pix.
I do always carry my camera with me where ever I go. Because it is just a digital compact camera. An Olympus FE-190. I'm hoping to have a DSLR one day and to have the photoshop application in my laptop.
I do have a SLR camera but it is just a film SLR. I learnt about photography through a weekly magazine "Camera Wise", that is in 1990s.
The magazine attracts me to know photography.
Thanks for your comment and hope to hear more comments soon!
Regards,
hana-azmi

Greetings hana-azmi
You are most welcome.
Given me with the same equipment and conditions I don't think I can do any better than what you have achieved. This P&S camera does produced good image quality.
You have done reasonably well. See you around.....
