I always wanted to take something similar to what you have captured here…….
I see your eye seems attuned not to oddities or bizarre juxtapositions, but simply to the beauties – often commonplace – of the manmade and natural worlds………
In this shot, I read you are closing in to reveals patterns with colour and tone and cleverly stop short of abstraction…… From my personal experience in this type of environment there will be assertive surrounding……always leading to this type of capture image with a background that is too assertive and making the main subject matter become confused. In your case you have done otherwise and very well indeed.
In my opinion I don’t think you need that green framing to enhance your image. Your image and subject matter is strong. If you examine it again you will find that the subject matter (flower) is a lighter tone than the background tone. If you have allowed it as it is…. I find the lighter tone flower as the foreground will actually provide contrasting tone to the background which will intensifies the background and provide that extra dimension of depth. However, the darker green framing tone will actually merge and suppress the flower as in toning and the flower with respect to the background actually will intensify the flower tone again. IMO it has reduced the effect known as “simultaneous contrast” in your image.
I see you have an eye for good used of lines. Hmmm… in this and in the other images….. you have used the lead in lines positively and have aided to a powerful composition. Hahahaa….. the water droplets just simply introduce the needed drama into the subject matter. Very clever of you I must say.
You indeed have the “patience”. From your landscape shots I would say you have the perseverance as a more apt word to summarize……..
You make me this time wanting to take more landscape and macro shots……

thank you so much for your comment, I really appriciate your time. I entirely agree that the green frame is not that fit the immage itself. I just love to take photos of landscape and macro of natural things. This is amazing flower the I took recently in Laos, from distance I have seen it as the wind curtain and I wanted to capture it again and again, the I got this shot in early morning after a long rainny night. Thank for sharing your experience in line leading - you are really artistic person.
Hope to see you in Malaysia - next week I am in KL from 17 to 24 for visiting and taking photos. do you have any suggestions?
