I think too much on tree is meaningless and maybe shot more on sky will be better. I prefer blue sky.

I am afraid the weather was not in your favour when the picture was taken. Overcast sky tend to reduce the colour contrast when taking landscape pictures.

In such situation it might be better to take the subject closer. Of course that would mean you most likely would not be able to capture the whole castle in the frame.

That is why when you see an eye capturing scenery and you go 'wow' how did he do it, well bear in mind he must have staked out that from that vantage point over many, many days hoping you'd gotten a good break with the weather.
