Er... me thinks Mr Coconut9 is looking at the out of focus area?

No impact in my opinion. Better to go eye level with the model or at least have eye contact.

I don't see why this shot gets a 10. Maybe the one voted was because the model is pretty? I agree with buyids suggestion. I feel no impact with this shot. It's very plain. Eye contact would be great, and perhaps a shallower DOF, now it seems like it's not quite there yet.
