An awesome piece of glass for intermediate reach where speed using available light and sharpness are key criterias. This lens locks focus almost instantaneously on any semi pro body. VR makes it well suited for handheld action shots. An indispensible tool for shooting indoor concerts, indoor sports and even portraiture if you can make your model stand far away enough.
Used with a 1.4 or 1.7TC, it puts you well inside the normal reach for nature photography.
