Pros: Sharp wide open. VR is a big bonus
Cons: A bit expensive

If you don't have a telephoto zoom. This is a very good choice. Comes with VR, a good 70-300mm range and solidly built.

Forget about the Tamrons and Sigmas of equivalent range. Just save up and get this for about 2x more the price.
